Judges Hill Candelight House Tour

As part of the upcoming National Preservation Conference,  Downtown's own Judge's Hill neighborhood will be holding a Candlelight House Tour to registered conference attendees.   If you're not attending the conference but are interested in the tour, a great way to participate is to serve as a docent for the tour.  Volunteers will receive free admission to attend this house tour.  Click here to read more about the historic Judge's Hill neighborhood and its history.

1.5 Hour Volunteer Shifts
Shift One:  7:30-9:00 p.m.
Shift Two: 9:00-10:30 p.m.

Storm Drain Markings Getting Refreshed


Ever wanted to make a mark on your block?  How about marking the sidewalk with no 'No Dumping' signs?  DANA will be helping the city coordinate hands-on volunteers to mark storm drains to remind us that rainfall runoff can wash debris, motor oil, and other pollutants into our waterways unfiltered.  Please contact Michael McGill for more details mpm167@gmail.com

Mathew's Elementary Octoberama this Saturday!


Mathew's Elementary Octoberama, October 16th, 11a-3p.  We'll have a lot of fun for the kids, and a silent auction for the adults.  Come on out and support our downtown neighborhood school.

DANA Participates in National Conferences

Recently, board member Jude Galligan traveled with the Chamber of Commerce on their annual Intercity Visit to Minneapolis, MN. One of the highlights of the trip was experiencing the Bike Sharing program that is up and working there. Board Member, Michael McGill, also traveled with members of the DAA Staff and board to the International Downtown Association conference in Fort Worth, TX. One of the highlights of that conference was an enlightening presentation by Dan Biederman on the programming, operations and evolution of Bryant Park in New York City.
