DANA at 20: New Board, New Challenges

For twenty years now, DANA has been working to promote the livability of Downtown Austin. A lot has changed over those years: the downtown population has more than doubled, and we have countless new shops & restaurants, among other things.

The next twenty years are sure to bring more changes, and DANA stands ready to help ensure that the quality of life in Downtown Austin keeps getting better. Our new board & officers have been working on updating the organization in every respect. And we’re counting on our members to help us make the most of the opportunities we’re facing.

There are many ways you can get involved:

• Join a committee. We now have five active committees (Policy, Communications, Finance, Social, and Membership/Sponsorship), and they need your help! There’s a lot to do on every front. You can sign up on our get involved page.

• Follow our Facebook page.

• Follow us on Twitter.

• Join DANA’s new email discussion group, which gives members & friends of DANA a platform to share information about downtown issues & events.

• Come to our next Urban Core Happy Hour – Stay tuned for details!

Thanks for tuning in! With your help, Downtown Austin’s next 20 years are going to be even better than the last.
