Volunteers will meet Saturday, November 8, 2025 outside The Independent (301 West Ave. at 8:45 am, with the clean-up commencing at 9 am. The efforts of the growing group of volunteers is paying off, as the creek throughout the downtown neighborhood is looking cleaner and better. Let’s stay vigilant!

The monthly collaboration continues with APD, the Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA), and the Downtown Austin Community Court to assist with this important initiative.

The City of Austin’s planning team is pleased to announce the launch of the Central City District Plan — a key initiative to guide the future growth, development, and vibrancy of our city’s urban core.

The initiative will develop both a vision and an implementation plan for an equitable, resilient, and sustainable city that supports an interconnected urban core.

DANA has been identified as a key stakeholder in this engagement process. Help shape the plan, come learn more about the Central City District Plan, speak directly with the project team, and share your feedback.
